Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data Jadwal collects, how we use and protect it, and your rights. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

Data we collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:

• Account information: email, display name, username, phone number (optional), gender, and profile picture.
• User content: your status (free/busy/scheduled), status message, status images, activities you create, invitations, comments, and chat messages (text and images).
• Location: used to show nearby friends and activities, and the "share distance" feature. You can disable these in the app or in your device system settings at any time.
• Contacts: with your permission, your contact phone numbers are matched locally on your device against Jadwal users. Your address book is never uploaded to our servers.
• Technical data: device push notification token, app version, and last active timestamp — used to deliver notifications and diagnose issues.
• In-app relationships: your friend list, friend requests, and the groups you create.

We do not collect financial or health data, we do not track you across other apps, and we never sell your data.

How we use data

• To run core app features: your account, friend list, activities, invitations, and chat.
• To send relevant notifications, such as when a friend becomes free or invites you to an activity.
• To surface nearby friends and activities when you enable location features.
• To email you operational messages like account confirmation, password reset, and important service updates.
• To measure service stability and diagnose issues. We do not use your data for behavioral profiling or advertising.

Sharing data

We do not share your personal data with any third party for marketing. Limited sharing happens only in these cases:

• With other users you choose to interact with: they see your display name, profile picture, and status according to the visibility settings you control.
• With technical service providers that operate our infrastructure (hosting, notifications, transactional email). They act under strict data-processing agreements and may not use your data for any other purpose.
• Legal compliance: when required by competent authorities, or to protect the rights and safety of the app and its users.

Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. After account deletion, your personal data is removed from our systems within 30 days at most, except where law requires longer retention.

Security

All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS, and your data is stored encrypted. Strict access controls limit who can reach data, and we review those controls regularly. No online system is 100% secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards to protect your information.

Your rights

• Access and edit: review and edit your data from the "My Account" screen.
• Delete account: "My Account → Delete account" at any time.
• Stop location or contacts access: from the app settings or your device system settings.
• Withdraw consent: by stopping use of the app and deleting your account.
• File a complaint: if you believe our processing violates the law, please contact us first.

Children's privacy

Jadwal is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If we learn such an account exists, we delete it.

International data transfers

Some data may be processed on servers outside Saudi Arabia. In all cases, equivalent protection standards apply to that data.

Policy updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service or applicable laws. For material changes, we'll notify you in-app or by email. The date at the top reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
